Abstract

Background. The ideas of the representatives of Russian religious sociology, devoted to the substantiation of the functional interpretation of property, are extremely relevant and organically fit into the context of modern debates about the ways of socio-economic development of Russia, the need to strengthen the social responsibility of business and the state as a whole. The purpose of the work is to analyze the works of Russian religious thinkers of the beginning of the 20th century and to reveal the features of the interpretation of the property problem.
Materials and methods. Implementation of research objectives was achieved on the basis of the analysis of the works of Russian thinkers devoted to the problem of property. The works of V. F. Erna, S. N. Bulgakov, N. A. Berdyaev, S. L. Frank, who made a major contribution to the formation of the theory of property in non-Marxist thought of the beginning of the 20th century, occupy a special place in this work. The methodological potential includes the methods of comparative and historical-sociological analysis, which make it possible to investigate the texts of Russian thinkers in a specific historical context.
Results. The concept of ownership of Russian social thinkers has been studied. Analyzed its theoretical and methodological foundations, considered the doctrine of functional property.
Conclusions. The study of the solution of the property problem of Russian religious sociologists suggests that the ideas of functional ownership, social responsibility of participants in economic activities, and a value analysis of the economic sphere can be taken into account when creating future projects in modern Russia.
